  • The interlocking parts move immediately and require no assembly.
  • Fluid handling equipment, such as impellers or pipes, is leak-proof due to its dense construction.
05
Design and premium products.
  • Dyeing process using Nylon 12 White.
  • Cerakote coating enhances beauty and durability.

How the Formlabs Fuse 1+ 30W (SLS) works.

The Formlabs Fuse 1+ 30W Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) system is designed for comprehensive, easy-to-use, and industrial-scale production, comprising six main steps as follows:
01
Prepare the file.
  • Use PreForm software (free), which supports STL/OBJ files.
  • Automatic part placement (Auto-Pack), hollow part creation, orientation setting, and labeling.
  • Nesting (placing pieces on top of each other) Hundreds of pieces can be made in a single batch because no support is needed.
02
Print
  • A 30W Ytterbium Fiber laser is used to melt the nylon powder layer by layer.
  • High-efficiency printing completed within... 24 hours
  • There is no support, so you can print. Complex mechanisms or parts that move within a single piece.
03
Separate parts & recycle the powder (Unpack & Recycle)
  • Place the build chamber into the fuse sifter.
  • Separating the solid pieces from the powder takes only 5–10 minutes.
  • The remaining powder was filtered and Automatically mixes back with new powder. Reduce material costs.

04
Clean and Polish
  • Use an automatic fuse blast machine to sandblast and polish the surface.
  • It takes about 10 minutes to get a clean, smooth surface, ready for use.

05
Additional finishing (Post-Process)
  • Dyeing Use pieces made from Nylon 12 White material and dye them in various colors.
  • Cerakote coating Enhances aesthetics and durability.
06
Care and maintenance (Upkeep)
  • There is a checklist system on the screen.
  • Maintenance time is approximately... 10 minutes per round
  • Supports continuous 24/7 operation.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

FAQ Formlabs Fuse 1 SLS Printer
Q What technology does Formlabs use?
A: Formlabs uses Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) technology, which primarily uses a laser to melt plastic powder layer by layer.
Q: What file types does Formlabs printer support?
A: Supports STL, OBJ, and 3MF files.
Q: Is it difficult to learn how to use?
A: It's very easy to use! It has a touchscreen and a step-by-step guide. It only takes 15 minutes to learn.
Q: What preparations are needed before using the Fuse 1 SLS Printer?
A: A minimum installation area of approximately 310 × 146 cm is required to accommodate Fuse 1 and Fuse Sift together, and the specified clearance around the unit must be maintained for proper access and ventilation.
Q: Is using Fuse 1 safe?
A: It is safe for indoor use (office/lab/workshop) because the SLS powder has a particle size of approximately 40 μm and the system includes a HEPA filter with an airflow system that helps reduce powder dispersion in the workspace.
Q: What additional tools are available to improve the surface finish after printing?
A: After fuse sifting to remove the powder, media blasting or vapor smoothing (e.g., using acetone) can be performed to smooth the surface and reduce porosity for high-quality applications.
Q: Is this machine suitable for scaling production capacity?
A: Very suitable — Fuse 1 is designed for multiple units to be installed in the same area without requiring the electrical systems or elevated space found in large industrial SLS units, making it ideal for repetitive and high-volume production.
Q: Is there after-sales service?
A: Free installation and training (Bangkok and surrounding areas / travel fees apply for distances exceeding 250 km).
• Have the device checked every 3 months within the warranty period.
• 1-year warranty on the device, along with after-sales service team.
